With this project, we took redundant office spaces and converted them into PC1 and PC2 sequencing labs. We performed a complete re-fit-out, including the removal of the existing HVAC system, and replaced it with an upgraded system for the new lab requirements. In order to ensure the labs' integrity, it was crucial to make them airtight and pressurised. This measure prevents the transfer of bacteria and germs, which could potentially contaminate the entire environment.
